I TIMOTHY 4:9-16
I. THE WISE MINISTER IS AN EXAMPLE; v. 12.
1. In speech ; Prov . 15 :7 .

II . THE WISE MINISTER GIVES ATTENDANCE TO READING;
v. 13.
1 . Reading cleanses the preacher; Psa. 119:9 .
2. Reading prepares the preacher; I Peter 3:15.
3. Reading should be done daily ; Neh. 8 :18 .
III . THE WISE MINISTER GIVES ATTENDANCE TO
EXHORTATION; v . 13 .
1. He must exhort daily; Heb. 3 :13 .
2. He must exhort with the Word of Life; Phil. 2 :16.
3. He must exhort others to be unmovable; I Cor. 15 :58 .
IV. THE WISE MINISTER GIVES ATTENDANCE TO
DOCTRINE; v. 13 .
1. He must have sound doctrine; Job 11:4.
2. He must be known by sound doctrine ; II Tim. 3 :10.
3. He must use sound doctrine; Titus 2:1 .
V. THE WISE MINISTER DEVELOPS HIS TALENTS; v. 14.
1. He must not neglect his talents ; I Tim. 4 :14.
2. He must use his talents to occupy; Luke 19:13 .

VI. THE WISE MINISTER IS CONSECRATED ; v. 15.
