Text: Heb. 4:16 Introduction: The honey bee and the bee hive needs nectar to survive. Because exactly what is needed is found in the flowers and tree blossoms, the honey bee runs to the nectar source. We need mercy" and "grace" to survive in this world. Let us run, then, to Christ, the only Source. *We do not approach God just to get, or to take His gifts. However, as we come, we receive of His bounty and fullness. 1. Throne Provisions - "throne of grace"A. Provisions of His Lordship - *throne=king's seat; judge's seat; administrator's seatB. Provisions of His Loving-kindness - "grace"=favor; good-will
2. Tender Provisions - "mercy.., grace"A. For our wickedness - "mercy"/withholding what is deservedB. For our weakness - "grace"/bestowing what isn't deservedILLUS.INSTEAD OF BRINGING MY GIRLS LEAF-RAKES, I BRING THEM DOLLS!
3. Trustworthy Provisions - "to help"A. There is assistance - "help"B. There is assurance - it is available!ILLUS. MY GRANDSON WAS AFRAID OF A BICYCLE; BUT PAWPAW HELPED!
4. Timely Provisions - "in a time of need"A. In your hour - "time"B. In the helplessness - "need"ILLUS. GEN. 22/GOD PROVIDED FOR ABRAHAM IN A TIME OF NEED!
5. Take-Home Provisions - "obtain.., find"A. We receive them - "obtain"=receive, take, appropriate B. We recognize them - "find"=meet with, discover, recognizeConclusion: Some years ago I was privileged to visit London, England. In the Tower of London, I saw the renown "Crown Jewels."
